The Eight Immortals are a group of legendary deities in Chinese mythology. Their stories dates from the Han Dynasty, stretching to the Song Dynasty and now into modern life. They are revered by the Taoist practitioners and are also popular elements in secular Chinese culture. Living on a group of five islands in the Bohai Sea, which included Mount Penglai, each immortal's power can be transferred to a vessel that has specific functions. Together, they generate a synergy that can bestow life or ward off evil. These eight vessels are also refer to as the "Covert Eight Immortals".

I am grateful for the opportunity to learn from them and wish to share the lessons and joys through art and writing.
